Winter can be dark, grey ,cold and miserable but every now and then the sky is blue, the sun shine or there is a rainbow in the sky.
Grief works the same way, through the darkness, sadness and loneliness there are days when you can laugh and see the sunshine and rainbows.
The Beauty of living and being alive. There is no right or wrong way to deal with it all, grief, depression ,anxiety, anger, bitterness, resentment, shame, defeat, loneliness, fear and so many more emotions that goes on in your mind and in your life.
Some trees only grow once being scorched by a forest fire.It have to be burned down to the ground to ignite new growth and life.
Some uproot8 trees goes through something similar, brutal, not fair, but at least you come out alive, not as you where or even close to who you want to be but with progress you see transformation. A tiny sign of life, a green speck of life, emerging from the ashes.
The thing about being uproot8 and replanted are the rapid change, one moment you are you and exited about the new location the next you are a pile of ashes. There is no time to grief, no time to think, no time to accept things, there is no oxygen to breath. All the other uproot8 trees seems to do fine except you. You are at times ashamed of the pile of ashes you once called a life, some compare you ,others just thrown or avoid you, others pity you ,but walks away because ashes make them dirty and it stink.
But then there are some trees, that look at you for guidance, look at you and have empathy, some push you to grow a bit faster if you just want to give up, others challenge you, protect you, help you and inspire you. These are the Uproot8 and rooted trees you want to hang around with.
The rainbow days are the days you can see everything that is good and right and beautiful, just like God’s rainbow in the sky that promises us, He will never destroy this earth again with a flood. Rainbow days are Hopeful days, days of smiles ,sunshine and laughter.
Hold on to the rainbow days, write about them in your grateful journal, keep it in your Facebook memories, hold on to it in a picture frame or book or blanket or a cute teddy,a fishing rod, knife or guitar.
Rainbow days remind us we have survived a storm in life.
