Well watered(Part 1)

In Times of being Uproot8 a tree needs more water than any other time, not to much, not to little but a unique balance between need to drink frequently.

I have just finished the book “The well watered woman by Gretchen Snaffles and i must say, this Uproot8 tree surely got the Privilege to drink water from the well.

If you are battling in your season to stay ROOTED in TRUTH,GROWING in GRACE and FLORISHING in FAITH then I can’t recommend this book more.

Here are my Take outs from the book.

1.Its ok not to be ok…we are not perfect and that is ok, for you know the Gardener that is. He takes care of the garden and know its needs.

2.Identity Roots….We all have different roots and that is Ok…We have Roots we never wanted, we have rotten roots, Gospel and believe roots, we have Value roots, we have deep Identity roots that formed from our birth, we have young new roots ,toxic roots, sick roots, roots that died and are now dry and lifeless and we might even have a few by standing roots. we need to allow the gardener to look after our roots, to cut away that makes us lifeless and that needs to be healed to let us live a abundant life once again. Good roots produce good fruits.

3.Bring your nothing to the Gardener the one that knows how to multiply. He can turn your nothing into fruit, He will pour living water over you from the Grace well. No well is to deep for Him to pull you out off, No past is to broken for Him ,No present is to much out of reach for Him. No future is too unpredictable for Him. No wall is to High for him. No stronghold is too strong for Him. Bring your nothing and receive His everything.

4.Dying to live,…In the Morning, when I rise give me Jesus. The seed of the gospel. Some seed can not bring forth growth not until the past seasons fruit dies off. Sometimes we need to let part of us die off to live the “Good Life”. We ache to grasp what truly matters and live fully. We need to die to self to fully Live. Resurrection is coming.

5.Forsaking Broken wells, Broken cisterns, Settling for Sludge. You can’t bear good fruit if your tree gets polluted sludge .Comfort, is part of the sludge and one need to reach beyond comfort to reach success, then again what is success, is it the enjoyment of the fruit at the end of the season or the continual growth of the tree to be able to transform the blossom into fruit? Its not just the recognition but also the small daily habits we commit to. Appearance, sometimes the sweetest fruit don’t look the sweetest, and the most beautiful eye appealing fruit can be rotten. The truth is we will hide, leave and rebel against the gardener at times. But He will never leave you.

6.Anywhere but here ,”Where ever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.”-Jim Elliot. Sometimes life doesn’t seem to be the way we dreamed it would. When the Garden of your soul had been overtaken by disappointment-in life, in people, in yourself, and in God. Can you still extinguish flowers from weeds? Why did God bring me “here”? a question we all ask ourselves from time, forgetting that “here” was our once “There”. Someday” are not ours, it is not a new thing to desire something other than the thing right Infront of us.

Jim Elliot once said “Wherever you are ,be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God. May we live this way, with our roots deep in the soil of NOW, wherever we find ourselves in a wilderness, a wasteland or a wonderland.
